This is a dedication to the [god](https://www.worldhistory.org/God/) Haldi, the supreme god of the Urartians, from a [temple](https://www.worldhistory.org/temple/) built by Menua, son of Ishpuini, king of [Urartu](https://www.worldhistory.org/Urartu_Civilization/) (reigned 810-786 BCE). It is written in Urartian [cuneiform](https://www.worldhistory.org/cuneiform/) [writing](https://www.worldhistory.org/writing/). From Toprakkale or Van, Eastern [Anatolia](https://www.worldhistory.org/Asia_Minor/), in modern-day [Turkey](https://www.worldhistory.org/Asia_Minor/). Urartian, c. 700 BCE. (The British Museum, London).
