## Image Caption

A reconstruction of the [Temple](https://www.worldhistory.org/temple/) of [Vejovis](https://www.worldhistory.org/Vejovis/) in [Rome](https://www.worldhistory.org/Rome/), based on archaeological findings. It had a unique layout, with a horizontally oriented cella (the central worship area), as opposed to the usual vertical orientation. This was necessary to fit the building into a cramped area. The date of construction is unknown.
