Lunar eclipses on different days throughout the year were interpreted and their meaning was given. For example:
"...If there is a lunar eclipse on the day of the 6th month: A prince of the royal family sent away in disgrace will come back and seize his father's throne...".
"...If there is a lunar eclipse on the 16th day of the 7th month: The king of the country will die and someone else will take over his throne...".
"...If there is a lunar eclipse on the 14th day of the 8th month: The country will be flooded...".
13th century BCE, from Hattusa (Bogazkoy), in modern-day Turkey. (Museum of Archaeology, Istanbul, Turkey).
