This clay tablet represents a letter from Ḫattušili III (king of the [Hittite](https://www.worldhistory.org/hittite/) [Empire](https://www.worldhistory.org/empire/)) to Kadašman-[Enlil](https://www.worldhistory.org/Enlil/) II (Kadashman-Enlil II; the [Kassite](https://www.worldhistory.org/kassite/) king of [Babylon](https://www.worldhistory.org/babylon/)). The beginning reads "I mourned for your father and shed tears for him. I sent a messenger (ambassador)." The rest of the text mentions how they should unite in wars against the Egyptians. 13th century BCE, from Hattusa (Bogazkoy), in modern-day [Turkey](https://www.worldhistory.org/Asia_Minor/).
