## Image Caption

Dating to 1190-1250 CE, this iron sword pommel is decorated in [copper](https://www.worldhistory.org/copper/), [gold](https://www.worldhistory.org/gold/), and enamel. It depicts the coat of arms of Pierre de Dreux, Duke of Brittany (1187-1250 CE). Measures approximately 6 cm in diameter and 1 cm thick and weighs 227 grams.
