This structure located at the [Maya](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Maya/) archaeological site of San Gervasio on the Mexican island of Cozumel was so named as numerous human remains were found inside during archaeological excavation. The [temple](https://www.worldhistory.org/temple/) no longer exists, but it originally had masonry walls and a roof. The ossuary was built during the Post Classic Period (1200-1650 CE).
