This polychrome hieroglyphic inscription includes parts of the "Litany of the Eyes of [Horus](https://www.worldhistory.org/Horus/)". The hieroglyphic signs were painted with vibrant colors and carved in raised relief on a white background, forming five vertical lines. The signs face the [burial](https://www.worldhistory.org/burial/) chamber of the [Egyptian](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Egyptian/) [pharaoh](https://www.worldhistory.org/pharaoh/) Seti I (also written Sety, Sethi, or Sethos) and the fragment came from the north [wall](https://www.worldhistory.org/wall/) of the corridor. [New Kingdom](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/New_Kingdom/), 19th Dynasty, reign of Seti I, 1294-1279 BCE. From [Tomb](https://www.worldhistory.org/tomb/) number 17 in the Valley of the Kings, modern-day [Egypt](https://www.worldhistory.org/egypt/). (The British Museum, London).
