This offering stand has a hollow trunk with two long vertical slots at the sides. There is an incised decoration around the stem, typical of [Sumerian](https://www.worldhistory.org/Sumerians/) art; plants indicative of fertility and doorposts found on [temple](https://www.worldhistory.org/temple/) facades and in religious scenes. From the Royal Cemetery at [Ur](https://www.worldhistory.org/ur/), [grave](https://www.worldhistory.org/burial/) PG 87, Southern [Mesopotamia](https://www.worldhistory.org/Mesopotamia/), modern-day Iraq.
