## Image Caption

This seal was found by Puabi's right arm inside her [grave](https://www.worldhistory.org/burial/). The seal depicts a banquet/feast scene, in two horizontal registers; one of the typical themes of the [Early Dynastic](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Early_Dynastic/) III seals. The upper register depicts a seated female figure, which might Puabi herself. Early Dynastic Period, circa 2600 BCE. From the Royal Cemetery at [Ur](https://www.worldhistory.org/ur/), Southern [Mesopotamia](https://www.worldhistory.org/Mesopotamia/), modern-day Iraq. Part of objects allotted to the British Museum from Ur excavation season 1927-1928 CE.(The British Museum, London).
