Termessos was a Pisidian [city](https://www.worldhistory.org/city/) built at an altitude of more than 1000 meters in the Taurus Mountains. Termessos is now part of of Gulluk Dagi National Park located within the province of Antalya in a valley hidden between mountains. The most significant remains of the ancient fortified city are the city walls, Towers, King's Road, [Hadrian](https://www.worldhistory.org/hadrian/)'s Gate, [Gymnasium](https://www.worldhistory.org/Gymnasium/), [Agora](https://www.worldhistory.org/agora/), [Theatre](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/theatre/), Odeon, Richly, Decorated Tombs, cisterns and drainage system
