It was excavated at Kamishiba Tumulus in Gunma prefecture, [Japan](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Japan/). It dates from the [Kofun period](https://www.worldhistory.org/Kofun_Period/) or around the 6th century CE. (Tokyo National Museum)
