Tusks of a [woolly mammoth](https://www.worldhistory.org/Woolly_Mammoth/) found in Alaska and usually residing at the University of Alaska Museum in Fairbanks, although when (and where) this picture was taken in December 2017 it was on loan at the Australian Museum in Sydney. It came with the following information: Compared to elephant tusks, woolly mammoth tusks are larger and more spiral in form. The largest woolly mammoth tusks come from adult males and measure 8 to 9 feet \[c. 2,6 meters, red.\] in length. The two on display here measure about 7 feet \[c. 2 meters\] long, half the size of the world record woolly mammoth tusk–a whopping 14 feet \[c. 4,3 meters\] long!
