This manuscript book contains the translated works of [Hippocrates](https://www.worldhistory.org/Hippocrates/) and [Galen](https://www.worldhistory.org/Galen/), and it is entitled "Passage of Works by Hippocrates and Galen." It was compiled by Amirdovlat Amasiatsi or "Amirdovlat of Amasia" (c. 1420-1496 CE) who wrote in Middle Armenian, which made his translations from ancient languages accessible to a wider public. Amirdovlat Amasiatsi was an Armenian doctor who traveled and wrote extensively, and he later became the chief physician to Sultan [Mehmed II](https://www.worldhistory.org/Mehmed_II/) of the [Ottoman Empire](https://www.worldhistory.org/Ottoman_Empire/).
