Artist's depiction of the capture of the Numidian king [Jugurtha](https://www.worldhistory.org/Jugurtha/). He was betrayed by his son-in-[law](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/law/) Bocchus in 105 BCE and handed over to [Sulla](https://www.worldhistory.org/sulla/) (who would later become dictator of [Rome](https://www.worldhistory.org/Rome/)), who brought him back to Rome in chains.
