A relief scene showing a [Roman emperor](https://www.worldhistory.org/Roman_Emperor/) (probably Theodosius I) with his entourage in the royal box at the [Hippodrome of Constantinople](https://www.worldhistory.org/article/1158/the-hippodrome-of-constantinople/). From the 4th century CE base of the [column](https://www.worldhistory.org/column/) of the obelisk of [Thutmose III](https://www.worldhistory.org/Thutmose_III/) which once stood in centre of the Hippodrome.
