## Image Caption

This stela is from the [tomb](https://www.worldhistory.org/tomb/) of Espotu, a priest of [Amun](https://www.worldhistory.org/amun/)-Re and son of the second prophet of Amun-Re, Ankhefenkhons. In the inscription, he lists the 22 priesthoods he held, detailing his received a salary for each position. This stela was plastered and made of painted wood. It comes from [Thebes](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Thebes/), [Egypt](https://www.worldhistory.org/egypt/) and dates to the Late Period or c. 500 BCE. (Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto)
