## Image Caption

This [bronze](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/bronze/) bull was cast using the lost wax method. It is hollow inside with cold-etched details. The ears and horns were cast separately and riveted to the head. In some cases, the eyes were filled with vitreous paste. The bulls are interpreted here as images of a deity rather than as evidence of bull worship. This artifact was found at the Shrine of Predio de Son Corró (Costitx, Mallorca), Spain. It dates from the 5th-3rd century BCE and was made by members of the Post-Talayotic [culture](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/culture/). (Museo Arqueológico Nacional, Madrid)
