Zorats Karer is a prehistoric site located about 3 km (2 miles) northeast of Sissian, [Armenia](https://www.worldhistory.org/armenia/) and covers an area of about 13.5 ha (32 acres). Middle [Bronze Age](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Bronze_Age/) artifacts including [bronze](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/bronze/) swords, fragments of beads made from antimony, and potsherds have been unearthed and traced to the first quarter of the 2nd millennium BCE.
