## Image Caption

A funerary garment from the [Han dynasty](https://www.worldhistory.org/Han_Dynasty/) (2nd century BCE - 2 century CE). Made from hundreds of small rectangles of jade stitched together using [gold](https://www.worldhistory.org/gold/) and [silver](https://www.worldhistory.org/Silver/) wire, they were used to completely encase the body of deceased royalty. (On exhibition at the Neues Museum, Berlin)
