## Image Caption

This light grey limestone stela was inscribed with six lines of Phoenician/[Punic](https://www.worldhistory.org/carthage/) inscription; the upper line is almost lost. There is a lotus flower flanked by two standards at the lower part. There is a dedication to the goddess Tanit and [god](https://www.worldhistory.org/God/) Ba'al-Hammon by a person named Hanno. 4th to 2nd century BCE. From [Carthage](https://www.worldhistory.org/carthage/), modern-day Tunisia. (The British Museum, London).
