Hexagonal clay prism with [cuneiform](https://www.worldhistory.org/cuneiform/) inscription narrating the military campaigns of the Assyrian king [Esarhaddon](https://www.worldhistory.org/Esarhaddon/) (r. 680-669 BCE). Later on, the upper aspect was used a candle holder by the owner. Probably from [Nineveh](https://www.worldhistory.org/nineveh/), [Mesopotamia](https://www.worldhistory.org/Mesopotamia/), modern-day Iraq. [Neo-Assyrian Empire](https://www.worldhistory.org/Neo-Assyrian_Empire/), 7th century BCE.
