## Image Caption

A decorative [wall](https://www.worldhistory.org/wall/) console in the form of clenched hand. The surface is not inscribed. Similar "Hands of [Ishtar](https://www.worldhistory.org/ishtar/)" were found in [Kalhu](https://www.worldhistory.org/Kalhu/) of [Mesopotamia](https://www.worldhistory.org/Mesopotamia/), which were used as corbels but these were inscribed. 9th to 7th century BCE.
