This marble statue depicts Hermanubis, a combination of the Greek god Hermes and the Egyptian god Anubis - both guides to the souls of the dead. Found in Baiae (Italy). 1st century CE. Museo dei Campo Flegrei, (National Maritime Museum, Sydney Australia).
