This head is part of a [copper](https://www.worldhistory.org/copper/) alloy bull in the round. This is the best preserved bull of four similar bulls found and it is the only one which kept its head. [Early Dynastic](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Early_Dynastic/) Period, circa 2500 BCE. From the [Temple](https://www.worldhistory.org/temple/) of [Ninhursag](https://www.worldhistory.org/Ninhursag/) at Tell Al-Ubaid, Southern [Mesopotamia](https://www.worldhistory.org/Mesopotamia/), modern-day Iraq.
