The Daito Pagoda of the Shingon [Buddhist](https://www.worldhistory.org/buddhism/) [temple](https://www.worldhistory.org/temple/) precinct of Danjo Garan, [Mount Koya](https://www.worldhistory.org/Mount_Koya/), [Japan](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Japan/). First built in 816 CE, the structure was destroyed by fire but rebuilt in 1937 CE.
