[Narcissus](https://www.worldhistory.org/Narcissus/) flowers, often called daffodills. In [Greek mythology](https://www.worldhistory.org/Greek_Mythology/) the handsome youth Narcissus fell in love with his own reflection and was transformed into the flower when he died.
