Though we assume this gold lunula (little moon in Latin) was a piece of jewellery, little is known about who would have worn it. Lunulae were made in Ireland and [Britain](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Britain/) during the [Bronze age](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Bronze_Age/). This image was taken at the National Museum of Australia in the British Museum travelling exhibition A History of the World in 100 (and 1) Objects.
