It was made during the [Ptolemaic period](https://www.worldhistory.org/Ptolemaic_Dynasty/) or soon after the [Roman](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Roman/) [conquest](https://www.worldhistory.org/warfare/). This image was taken at the National Museum of Australia in the British Museum travelling exhibition A History of the World in 100 (and 1) Objects.
