This is the back panel of the [Franks](https://www.worldhistory.org/Franks/)/Auzon Casket. This panel depicts the capture of the [city](https://www.worldhistory.org/city/) of [Jerusalem](https://www.worldhistory.org/jerusalem/) in 70 CE by the [Roman](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Roman/) general (later Emperor) [Titus](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Titus/). The inscription on this panel appears as a mixture of Old English, Latin, [runes](https://www.worldhistory.org/runes/), and insular scripts. The labels on the two lower corners read "dom" (which means judgment) and "gisl" (meaning hostage). The Casket was donated by Sir [Augustus](https://www.worldhistory.org/augustus/) Wollaston Franks. Early 700s. From Auzon, Haute-Loire, Auvergne, modern-day France. (The British Museum, London).
