## Image Caption

In the Late [Roman](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Roman/) Period, the Jewish faith was expressed through symbols of personal items in much the same way as for [Christianity](https://www.worldhistory.org/christianity/). The Jewish "Menorah" is depicted on this bread-stamp. The stamp bears the name of "Leontios", which perhaps was designed to indicate that the bread was kosher. 200s to 500s CE.
