## Image Caption

Stools were the most common pieces of furniture used in ancient [Egypt](https://www.worldhistory.org/egypt/). This ivory leg was probably attached to a frame by means of a leather thong lashed through the holes. From its cylinder shape, it was likely to have been the front leg of a low stool. From Egypt. 1st to 2nd Dynasties of Egypt, 3150-2686 BCE. (The British Museum,London).
