The Assyrian King [Tiglath-pileser III](https://www.worldhistory.org/Tiglath_Pileser_III/) (reigned 744-727 BCE) wears a ceremonial robe and holding a bow, once facing 2 high officials (no longer preserved but recorded in a drawing). Behind him, stands a beardless attendant holding a spear bow, a fringed quiver, and a mace. The relief may originally have been in the Central [Palace](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/palace/) before being removed and re-used by king [Esarhaddon](https://www.worldhistory.org/Esarhaddon/) reigned (689-680 BCE). Assyrian, about 728 BCE. From the South-West Palace at [Nimrud](https://www.worldhistory.org/Kalhu/) (ancient [Kalhu](https://www.worldhistory.org/Kalhu/)), [Mesopotamia](https://www.worldhistory.org/Mesopotamia/), Iraq.
