Two thirds of this stela were lost due to reuse as building material. It documents a royal visit to Elephantine. The scene on the top, shows royal offerings to deities in [Egyptian](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Egyptian/) style with hieroglyphic captions. The main text is in [Greek](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/greek/), the official tongue under the Ptolemies. The [Rosetta Stone](https://www.worldhistory.org/Rosetta_Stone/), of Ptolemy V, records royal favors in both Greek and Egyptian.
