Panehsy, a royal treasurer from [Memphis](https://www.worldhistory.org/Memphis_(Ancient_Egypt)/) under [Ramesses II](https://www.worldhistory.org/Ramesses_II/), holds a shrine containing [Osiris](https://www.worldhistory.org/osiris/) (center), his wife [Isis](https://www.worldhistory.org/isis/), and their son [Horus](https://www.worldhistory.org/Horus/). The text invokes these and other deities of Abydos and explains that the statue was placed in one of its temples, so that Panehsy's spirit could partake of offerings to the gods. 19th Dynasty, reign of [Ramesses](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/ramesses/) II, circa 1279-1213 BCE.
