The Chief Eunuch, [Nabu](https://www.worldhistory.org/Nabu/)-sharrusu-ukin, rab sha-reshi, donated [gold](https://www.worldhistory.org/gold/) to the [Marduk](https://www.worldhistory.org/Marduk/) [Temple](https://www.worldhistory.org/temple/) at [Babylon](https://www.worldhistory.org/babylon/). His name and title occur as Nebo-Sarsekim, rab-saris, in Hebrew in the Book of [Jeremiah](https://www.worldhistory.org/Jeremiah/). He probably met the prophet Jeremiah at Nebuchadnezzar's 2nd capture of [Jerusalem](https://www.worldhistory.org/jerusalem/) in 587 BCE. From Babylon, Southern [Mesopotamia](https://www.worldhistory.org/Mesopotamia/), Iraq.
