The [Egyptian](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Egyptian/) [god](https://www.worldhistory.org/God/) [Bes](https://www.worldhistory.org/Bes/) is depicted on the front of this [gold](https://www.worldhistory.org/gold/) model [chariot](https://www.worldhistory.org/chariot/). Bes was the protective deity of the young, and this would suggest the chariot was made for a child. Chariots with the same profile and the wheel construction are shown on sculptures at Persopolis and the so-called [Darius](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/darius/) seal. Part of the [Oxus treasure](https://www.worldhistory.org/Oxus_Treasure/), from Takht-i Kuwad, Tajikistan.
