The [Temple](https://www.worldhistory.org/temple/) of [Hera](https://www.worldhistory.org/Hera/) I at [Paestum](https://www.worldhistory.org/Paestum/) ([Italy](https://www.worldhistory.org/italy/)), also known as the Basilica, is an [archaic](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Archaic/) Doric temple constructed ca. 550 BCE. The temple is peripteral with 9×18 columns. The temple was a part of a larger enclosed sanctuary to Hera, a Heraion, that also encompassed the later Temple of Hera II.
