The [Temple](https://www.worldhistory.org/temple/) of [Athena](https://www.worldhistory.org/athena/) at Poseidonia/[Paestum](https://www.worldhistory.org/Paestum/) ([Italy](https://www.worldhistory.org/italy/)). The temple dates to the late 6th century BCE and consists of an external colonnade of 6 x 13 columns. It has elements of both Ionic and Doric [architecture](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/architecture/). The columns of the exterior colonnade are Doric, while the columns of the pronaos are Ionic.
