The Frontinus Gate was the monumental entrance to the [Roman](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Roman/) [city](https://www.worldhistory.org/city/) of Hierapolis (western [Turkey](https://www.worldhistory.org/Asia_Minor/)). It is flanked by two round towers and dates to 84 or 86 CE on the basis of a dedication to [Domitian](https://www.worldhistory.org/domitian/) on the gate's façade.
