## Image Caption

Pictish stones are a form of monumental steles and are mainly found in the eastern part of [Scotland](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Scotland/) and around the Clyde-Forth line. This stone was found in Invereen, Moy, Inverness-shire, Scotland. The stone was carved with Pictish symbols, typical of the 7th and 8th centuries. There are double-disc, crescent, z and v symbols. History is silent on the meaning of these stones.

National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh.
