This celebrated panel from the south [wall](https://www.worldhistory.org/wall/) of the temple has Vishnu reclining on the serpent Ananta and floating on the waters of oblivion. Above him, seated on a lotus leaf, is the Hindu creator [god](https://www.worldhistory.org/God/) [Brahma](https://www.worldhistory.org/Brahma/). [Lakshmi](https://www.worldhistory.org/Lakshmi/), the wife of Vishnu, massages his feet.
