## Image Caption

A model of the the best preserved Tartessian site, Cancho Roano, which is near Zalamea de la Serena in Extremadura, Spain. It was established in the late seventh century BCE and later expanded. Its exact purpose is not known but is thought to be religious. It was destroyed, possibly on purpose, during the fourth century BCE. It consists of what appear to be four superimposed levels of occupation; it measures 21 m wide by 20 m in length.
