## Image Caption

The upper part of one of the caryatids that flanked the Lesser [Propylaea](https://www.worldhistory.org/Propylaea/) of the sanctuary of [Demeter](https://www.worldhistory.org/demeter/) and Kore at [Eleusis](https://www.worldhistory.org/Eleusis/). The [caryatid](https://www.worldhistory.org/Caryatid/) was made in Attica in about 50 BCE. (Eleusis Museum, [Greece](https://www.worldhistory.org/greece/))
