The king dedicated the stone to the gods [Anu](https://www.worldhistory.org/Anu/) and Adad for his life and the well-being of his people. From Anu-Adad [temple](https://www.worldhistory.org/temple/) at [Assur](https://www.worldhistory.org/assur/), northern [Mesopotamia](https://www.worldhistory.org/Mesopotamia/), Iraq.
