In this scene, visitors stand before Attila and his guests, singing songs that they have composed. Attila in at the center of the composition, it is thought that the man to his left is his son, and the [women](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/women/) at the top of the composition are his wives. Priscus, who wrote "[Byzantine](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Byzantine/) History" from which this scene comes, sits on the right holding a book.
