This painting shows [Egyptian](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Egyptian/) cattle being counted by scribes. The painting found part in the [tomb](https://www.worldhistory.org/tomb/) of Nebamun (c. 1350 BCE), an wealthy Egyptian accountant ("scribe and counter of grain") during the [New Kingdom](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/New_Kingdom/) period. The paintings are now on display in the British Museum, London, UK.
