## Image Caption

Two high [archaic](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Archaic/) kouroi, inscribed as [Cleobis and Biton](https://www.worldhistory.org/Cleobis_and_Biton/). c.580 BCE. These kouroi are over-life-size, standing at 6.5m tall, and are currently housed at the [Delphi](https://www.worldhistory.org/delphi/) Museum. The sculptor was Polymides of [Argos](https://www.worldhistory.org/argos/).
