This piece was probably decorating a shrine or a [temple](https://www.worldhistory.org/temple/). From the late Uruk period, 3300-3000 BCE. Probably from Uruk, [Mesopotamia](https://www.worldhistory.org/Mesopotamia/), Iraq. (The British Museum).
