The [Temple](https://www.worldhistory.org/temple/) of [Zeus](https://www.worldhistory.org/zeus/) at [Nemea](https://www.worldhistory.org/nemea/) was constructed during the last third of the 4th century BCE (ca . 330) as part of an extensive building program throughout the sanctuary. Its predecessor, the Early Temple, had been constructed early in the 6th century BCE and destroyed more than a century later.
