## Image Caption
One of the vaulted rooms in [Nero](https://www.worldhistory.org/Nero/)'s golden House, also known as the Domus Aurea. Built following the fire which devastated parts of central [Rome](https://www.worldhistory.org/Rome/) in 64 CE the [palace](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/palace/) was a vast complex of banquet halls and courtyards. The statue is of a [Muse](https://www.worldhistory.org/muse/) and was found near the site.
